She died on December 19, 1900 two years after making the trip from Topeka, Shawnee county, Kansas to Pawnee, Pawnee county, Oklahoma by covered wagon. It took twelve days to make the trip over rough often muddy terrain, with her husband Samuel and their surviving eleven children. They settled about three miles south of Pawnee, Pawnee county, Oklahoma and were living there when she died.
She was buried near Pawnee in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
