George A. Thoman died at 2:15 Thursday morning at the family residence, five miles east of Decatur in Long Creek township. His death was caused by cancer of the liver, after an illness of three months. He was almost sixty-nine years old. He was born at Gettysburg, Pa., Jan. 6, 1841, but had lived in Long Creek township for the past forty-five years. He is survived by his wife and two children, Elmer Thoman and Miss Pearl Thoman, both living at home.
He also leaves two brothers and three sisters in Pennsylvania. He has been a member of the North Fork Presbyterian church for the past twenty-eight years.
Friends may call at the residence. The casket will not be open during the services, which will be held at North Fork church Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
