RICHARD D. BLACKWELL DIES SUDDENLY TODAY

Richard D. Blackwell, 74, farmer, died from a heart attack early today at his home, 327 Locust Ave. Mr. Blackwell lived about two hours after he was stricken. He was born December 08, 1861, at Oxford, Mississippi, and had lived in Faulkner County since a young man.

He was married to Miss Lucy Mabry at Holland in 1884. Mrs. Blackwell died during the pneumonia siege here last winter. The date of her death was January 29.

Mr. Blackwell is survived by two sons, Edgar and Billie Blackwell of Conway; four daughters, Miss Cora Blackwell of Conway, Mrs. Guy A. Simmons, Jr., of Little Rock, Mrs. L.P. Fugatt and Mrs. Gertrude Fulmer of Vilonia; and a brother, C.S. Blackwell of Wooster.

Mr. Blackwell was a member of the Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World fraternal organization.

Funeral services will be conducted from the family home tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in charge of Dr. E.P.J. Garrott, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and interment made in Macedonia Cemetery in charge of Doolin's Funeral Home.
