Mildred was born in Salt Lake City in January 27, 1909, the daughter of Floyd T. and Julia Evans Baysinger.
She married John Nelson Busk on October 27, 1927 in Nephi. He died in May 1969.
Her husband was employed in the construction industry and worked in many different locations. During the years they lived in twelve different states and in Australia. After John's death, she moved to Orem.
She was a loving and lively wife, mother, and grandmother. She was active in school PTA, when her children were in school, involved in Relief Society and sang in numerous church choirs through the years. Mildred was known for her beautiful handwork. She could knit, tat, quilt, embroider, and crochet. She made afghans for all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also created beautiful ceramic works.
Mildred is survived by her three children, daughters, Beverly (Don) Newson of Traverse City, Michigan; Jan Witmer of Centerville, Utah; and son John R. Busk of Ogden, Utah; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents, and only sister Doris Asay.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Richfield City Cemetery, where she will be buried next to her husband.
