Ben K. Lynch Passed away

Sept 21 1910 March 4 1975

Ben K Lynch was born in Glenwood springs Colorado Sept 21 1910 He as educated in Leadville Colorado and Capital College of Pharmacy in Denver he mobbed to Durango in 1933 and was employed as a pharmacist for Wall Drug.

On May 6 1933 he was married to June Hughes at St. Columbia's church in Durango. The couple moved to Pagosa Springs a few days later where he managed the Jackisch Drug Store. He later purchased the store and has lived in Pagosa since that time survivors include his wife June and one son Casey of the family home a son Ben L Lynch also a Pagosa a son Jack a Lynch of Aurora and one daughter Maureen Lynch of Durango .

Three sisters Pan Boyd of Seal Beach California , Bonita Ledford and Lenore lynch and one brother Larry W Lynch all of San Diego also survive He had 5 grandsons.
He was a 26 year member of the Piedra Grange and Pagosa Lions Club. He also belonged to the immaculate Heart of Mary Men's Auxiliary and the Durango operated the Lynch Funeral Home since 1940 and was recently elected to serve his eighteenth years as a Director of Citizens Bank

Always active in Community and Church affairs he devoted many years in the Town Board San Juan Basin Health Unit , Archuleta Democratic chairman Red Ryder Round up and Chamber of Commerce. He had been coroner for the past 20 years.

Ben Lynch formed many warm and lasting friendships during his 40 years n Pagosa. He will be sadly missed.
