BLISS, WILLSON V. "PETE", 90 Inverness - Mr. Willson V. "Pete" Bliss, age 90, of Inverness, Florida died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Haven Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, FL. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and had lived in Inverness, Florida for the past 4 years prior to being moved to the Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, FL. He was a 1950 graduate with a Masters Degree in Engineering, from Ohio State University and had worked for 35 years as a Welding Engineer in the Heavy Equipment Industry. During WWII, he served as 1st Lt. in The U.S. Army Air Corps, flying the B-24 Bombers. He loved building and flying airplanes and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol for many years. He also loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of the "Re-Treads Motorcycle Club." He is survived by his daughter, Susan Kaminski of Oxford, CT, his son, Lawrence A. "Larry" Bliss of Billerica, MA and (6) grandchildren. There will be graveside committal services with Military Honors in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
