Craton William Miller was born Nov. 7, 1849 in Noble County, Indiana. He moved to the state of Missouri in the year of 1881. Lived in King City, Mo. for 19 years. On Oct. 8th,
1882, he was united in marriage to Flora Trotter. To this union six children were born. Four who with their mother, mourn his loss. The children are O.W. Miller, Monte
Vista, Colo.; Charles Miller, Limon, Okla.; Raymond Miller, Centralia,
Okla.; Royal C. Miller, Centralia, Okla.; Also there remains two brothers
and a twin sister, Mrs. A. Tetters, King City, Mo.
In 1900, he came to Oklahoma where he spent the remaining years of his
life. He was one of the first residents of Centralia and has ever tried to
be a true and loyal citizen.
In the early years of his life he became a member of the United
Brethren Church. He departed from this life Tuesday morning at 8:30,
Apr. 15, 1924, being 74 years , 5 months and 8 days old. Funeral
services were held at the Methodist Church, April 18 by O.E. Odell, after
which the remains were entered (sic) in the Centralia cemetery.
White Hardware Co. had charge of the funeral.
