2d Florida Student Dies of Injuries from Hazing
Homestead, Fla., May 30
Fred Evens Jr., 18, University of Miami freshman, died today of injuries received when he was run over by an automobile while undergoing fraternity "hell week" hazing. Another student, Thomas E. Kleppner, 19, was killed in the same mishap last Friday. Evens and Kleppner, pledges of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, taken to a lonely road near Homestead, apparently fell asleep on the road and were run over by a truck.
