Rodney L. Davidson, 57, of Augusta, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009.
Viewing 1-8 p.m. Monday with family to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Life Church, (Ohio St. Rd. and SW 60th) Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Rodney was born in El Dorado, Kan. on July 10, 1952; the son of Herbert Roland Davidson and Betty Lou (Bear) Davidson. He retired as a systems analyst from Bank of America in 2007 after 25 years. He had also been a Mobil employee. On May 27, 1971 he married Melissa (Burress) at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta. She preceded him in death on Feb. 15, 2009. His father, Herb and step father, Marvin Beene also preceded him in death.
He is survived by: son, Ryan Davidson and wife Ellie; daughter, Megan Davidson; and mother, Betty Beene all of Augusta; brother, Brian Davidson and wife Danica of Andover; sister, Pam Olson and husband Robert of Osage City; and grandchildren, Cody Morgan, Trevin and Adyson Davidson.
