Leo Joseph Gagne died in Omaha, NB on October 23, 1999. He was born on May 13, 1924 in Bradford, NH; the son of Ephrem and Exselia (LaRoche) Gagne.
He had been a longtime resident of Claremont, NH. He recently moved to Omaha, NE to live with his son. He was a TEC 5 in the U S Army during World War II from April 13, 1943 to January 1, 1946. He worked for a time at International Shoe Co, then at Joy Mfg Co retiring after thirty years. For twenty years, he was an on-call fireman with the Claremont Fire Department. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2503 in Omaha.
He married Marion Amell on June 28, 1943 in Claremont but they later divorced.
He married Theresa Cotnoir on January 17, 1948 in Claremont but they divorced.
Survivors include son Mitchell Gagne of Omaha, NE; three daughters Pauline Ainsworth of New Port Richey, FL, Linda Goodhue of Tucson, AZ, and Doris Varn of Greenville, NC; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and brother Francis Gagne of Newport, NH.
Burial is in St Mary's Cemetery.
