Chilton – Mrs. Amelia Horst, 93, mother of Otto Horst, of this city, passed away Sunday at the home of another son, Gustave, in the town of Charlestown.
Mrs. Horst was born Amelia Knabe May 6, 1845, in Saxony, Germany. She came to America in 1851 and her family settled at Manitowoc, later moved to the town of Charlestown. In 1863 she was married to Henry Horst. For 10 months prior to her death she had lived with her son, Gustave, and his family. Her husband preceded her in death in 1905.
She is survived by three sons, William and Gustave of Charlestown, and Otto of Chilton; one daughter, Mrs. Elton Stark of Cedarburg; and one sister, Mrs. Anna Arnz of Centerville.
