Widow of War Vet Dies at Fond du Lac
Funeral services for Mrs. Cecelia Sprague Chesebro who died at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac Sunday were held at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral home Wednesday. Interment was in the Union cemetery, Gravesville.
The deceased was born Jan. 29, 1855 in the state of Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Sprague, late of Gravesville. She was married to William Chesebro Nov. 28, 1872 and resided in Gravesville since then.
She is survived by one son, Richard, at home; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her husband, one of the last survivors of the Calumet County Veterans of the Civil War, died Oct. 9, 1935.
