Ed was a big man, with a big heart! He had a laugh that could shake the room when something struck him as funny! He loved the Lord and as an adult tried to live as God would want him too! He was a friend to many, and often went out of his way to help someone in need or to act as a champion for the "underdog".

He was married to Gloria for fifteen years, and they had two children; a daughter and a son. Unfortunately, as sometimes happens in life, their marriage did not last and in 1983 they disolved their marriage.

Ed worked for Hobart Corporation for many years in the Sun Shade Division, Troy, OH

He was an avid bicyclist and traveled all over the state of Ohio on various overnight and week long bike events. You would often see him wearing his "rearview" bike mirror on his glasses even when he was not riding! It was a sight to see! He definitely walked to the beat of a different drummer! He enjoyed playing board games with his friends, talking about the Lord, singing songs that praised God, and reading was a favorite passtime of his.

In 1987 he married his second wife, Phyllis M. Neidert (Ames) and moved to Wapakoneta, OH, where he resided until he left this earth for his heavenly home.
