Gospel preacher buried in Gainesville, TX. He was a member of one of the Baptist churches that supported John Mulkey in the division that split the Stockton Valley Baptist Association in 1810. His ministry included Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Illinois, and forty years in Texas. He married Nancy Matthews Bailey, a sister of Mansil W. Matthews and widow of Amos C. C. Bailey.
