Melvin LeRoy Green, 43, of 11215 E. 10th, died Wednesday at the Independence Sanitarium and Hospital, following a brief illness.
Mr. Green was born in Janesville, Wis., and had lived in Independence 32 years. He was an employee of Armco Steel Corporation, and was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy J. Green, of the home; two sons, and a daughter also of the home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Carson Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
