Crockett, Houston Co., TX
Friday, 7 February 1890
A sad accident occurred on the south side of Mustang Prairie last Sunday [February 2]. Willie Harvey's and Willie O. Alford's ponies ran together while the boys were chasing a jackrabbit. Willie Alford's pony fell on him and killed him. He was about sixteen years old and a son of Mrs. Ann Alford, of Georgia Camp Creek. The family has our heartfelt sympathy.
