Joseph "Joe" was the son of James W. Darnell and Susan Meetze (Metts). Marker reads Joe N. Darnell. Joe was a brother to Henry James Darnell, my grandfather.
Uncle Joe and Aunt Eliza were half-first cousins. Their fathers were half-brothers.

WWI draft lists his birthyear as 1886, marker says 1889.
