Cora Olena Alexander, 95, of Cooter, MO, died Tuesday, January 11, 1994, at her home.
Born March 27, 1898, she was a daughter of the late Rondo Cornelius Hughes and Elizabeth Alexander Hughes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leonard Alexander; two sons, Robert Alexander and Neal Alexander; one daughter, Carrie Nell Vandiver; four brothers, Floyd Hughes, Doyd Hughes, Taylor Hughes, and R. C. Hughes; and two sisters, Virgie Scott and Lucille Stanford.
A homemaker, she had attended the Methodist Church at Milledgeville, TN.
Mrs. Alexander leaves four sons, James Alexander and Paulice Alexander, both of Cooter, Billy G. Alexander of Springfield, Mass., and Wayne Alexander of Cooter; two half-sisters, Tommy Leniski and Lula Rice, both of Mishawaka, Ind.; 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Alexander were to be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday, January 13, 1994) at Odom Cemetery in Milledgeville, with Rev. Steven Williams officiating. Burial was to be at Odom Cemetery with Bradshaw German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
