Sherry Willey Rodriguez 1949 ~ 2010 Returned home to her loving Heavenly Father on March 13, 2010 at 5:37 a.m. after a long struggle with breast and bone cancer.Sherry was born June 23, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah and is the daughter of Clyde W. Willey, Minnie Faye Lawson Willey and Nora Mae Graham Willey (step-mother). She married Benito Rodriguez on September 9, 1972, they later divorced. They had one daughter, Stephanie Anne Rodriguez. Sherry graduated from Bountiful High School. Attended Snow College and Weber State College. Most of her working career was spent at the Bountiful Post Office where she greeted everyone with a warm smile and an infectious laugh. Thanks to all her co-workers that shared their lives with Sherry while working at the post office, she truly enjoyed each and everyone of you. Sherry will be remembered for her love of life, contagious laugh, her kind words, lifting one's spirit, her love of flowers and many other things. Her greatest joy is her daughter Stephanie Russell and her three grandchildren. Sherry is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has held many positions and honored all of her callings. Sherry's most cherished calling was the Ward and Stake Primary President. Primary children brought her great joy. Sherry loves her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with all of her heart and has dedicated her life in serving and honoring them. Sherry wants to be remembered for her testimony of the gospel "that it is true" and that Jesus Christ lives. Sherry is survived by her loving daughter, Stephanie Anne Russell (Chris); grandchildren Drew Pack, Franklin Russell, and Raegan Russell (North Salt Lake); parents, Clyde W. and Nora Mae Willey of Bountiful; brothers, Steven Willey (Susan) Farmington, Mark Willey (Brenda) Centerville; and her sister, MaryAnn Willey of Bountiful. Sherry was preceded in death by her mother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Bountiful 4th Ward Chapel, 102 East 1400 South. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Thursday morning 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
