Michael Dore Dead.
    Michael Dore, father of Mrs. George Bordenkircher and Mrs. W. J. Collins, of Emporia, died Saturday night at 7 o'clock at his home in Burlington. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at the Burlington Catholic church. Rev. Father Sullivan will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Burlington cemetery.
    Michael Dore was born in 1841 in Limerick county, Ireland. He came to America alone when he was 15 years old. He worked for some time as a bridge carpenter in Kentucky, Louisiana and Texas. Later he came to Kansas and was married to Amelia McGrath, January 21, 1874 at Paola. He bought a farm, which is located six miles south of Waverly, and made a home for his family there for many years. Acreage has been added to this farm until it is now one of the biggest farms in Coffey county. The Dore family lived on this farm until 1925 when Mr. Dore retired and moved to Burlington. Mr. Dore was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic church. He is survived by his widow; six daughters, Mrs. L. H. Hannen, of Burlington; Mrs. George Bordenkircher and Mrs. W. J. Collins of Emporia; Miss Nellie Dore, of Lenexa; Mrs. Rose Masterson of Kansas City; Mrs. R. S. Cahill, of Salina; two sons, John Dore and Edward Dore, of Waverly.

Funeral of Michael Dore.
   Funeral services for Michael Dore, father of Mrs. George Bordenkircher and Mrs. W. J. Collins of Emporia, who died Saturday night at his home in Burlington, were held Tuesday morning at the Burlington Catholic church. Ministers who conducted the services were: Rev. J. A. Doman, of Paola; Rev. C. M. Scanlon, of Kansas City; Rev. J. J. Ryan, of Lenexa; Rev. J. B. Malloy, of Waverly; Rev. D. C. Hall, of Edgerton; and Rev. Patrick R. O'Sullivan. Burial was in Calvary cemetery at Burlington. Persons from Emporia who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Gufler, Mrs. C. E. Wager, Flora and Agnes Bordenkircher, Neil Roach, C. McCarthy and Mr. and Mrs. L. C. McCarthy. A grandson, Otto Bordenkircher, of Omaha, Neb., attended the funeral.
