"George J Abbott 75 of 1904 Oneida St. Clayville, died May 5 in Faxton Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Geneva, NY and was educated in Clark Mills School. He was married to Betty Rice in Whitestown.
Survivors besides his wife include six sons Robert of Penn., Frank of Cal, Richard, also of Cal., George of Cassville, Samuel of Utica and Jeffery of Rome; one daughter Gail of Cassville, three brothers Joseph of Utica, Julian of Whitesboro and Samuel of Clark Mills; three sisters, Mrs. Meniss (Josephine) Peters of Kirkland, Mrs Gerald (Sandy) Foster and Mrs Sarah Warlick; fifteen grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Monday 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral will be Tuesday morning at 10:30 am. from the J Donald Smith Funeral Home Sauqoit."
