Rodney C. Eaton,63 of West Jefferson, passed away in Wednesday, March 3,2010, in his residence. He was born Dec. 29, 1946, in Champaign County, the son of the late Robert and Dorothy Eaton. Rodney was employed with forrest Trucking Of West Jefferson for 33 years. Was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam. A member of West Jefferson VFW Post No. 7005. He was a loving Husband, father, grandfather and bother. He was loved and Admired by many friends and family. Survivors include his wife of 37 years Rhoda Wright Eaton; a daughter Rebecca Pasholk;a son-in-law,Paul Pasholk;six grandchildren, Megan and William Wright, Rachel, Victoria, Teresa and Julia Pasholk;four brother, Robert(Sue)Eaton, enneth(Lelia)Eaton, Dale(Jean)Eaton and Michael(Vicky)Eaton; three sisters, Judy(Pete)Nichols, Sharon(Neal)Ireland and Patty(Tom)Dever; numerous nieces, nephews,great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. He was also a second father to John and Mike Sullivan. He was loved by the Staudt family, Charlie, Sandy, Danny, Renee and Chris. Rodney was peceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Melvin and Paul; to sisters, Alice and Nancy.Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Sunday, March 7,in the Rader-McDonald Funeral Home, 1355 W. Main St. West Jefferson where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010. Pastor Michael Sammons will be officiating. Burial and Military graveside service will follow at Hampton Cemetery in West Jefferson. Military honors will be conducted by the West jefferson VFW Post No.7005 and the AMERICAN Legion Post No.201.
