BATESBURG — Harry David Amick, 92, of Batesburg, died Sunday, February 20, 2005.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Ridge Crest Memorial Park with Rev. Mitch Evans officiating. Pallbearers will be Coy Johnson, Donnie Hulon, Phil Miller, Jason Amick, Cory Durst and Tom Hrica.

Mr. Amick was born in White Rock, SC to the late Bachman D. and Mary McCarty Amick. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He was the husband of the late Gaynell H. Amick. He was the former owner of Amick Shoe Shop for 70 years. He had a love for fishing and gardening.

Surviving is his sons and daughters-in-law, Donald B. and Ann W. Amick of Batesburg; Ronald W. and Marolyn Amick of Columbia; daughters and son-in-law, Dorothy A. and Broadus P. Whittle of Leesville; Mary A. Miller of Lexington; daughter-in-law, Wanda S. Amick of Lexington; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; preceded in death by a son, Harold D. Amick; brother, Edward Amick; grandson, Travis A. Whittle.
