Added gender. ~ Funeral services for Otis Murl "Duke" Shelton, age 77, of Perry, OK are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Branscum officiating. Interment will be in the Grace Hill Cemetery. Duke was born on June 15, 1932 to George L. and Laura (Griggs) Shelton in Perry, OK. He grew up and attended the Fairview School south of Perry. He later was drafted in the Korean Conflict where he was stationed in Death Valley. Duke married Pearl Brown on November 25, 1957 at the Nazarene Church in Perry, OK. His hobbies included; fishing, hunting and gardening. The highlights of his life were his family and grandchildren. Duke passed from this life on September 21, 2009 at his home. He is survived by his wife of the home, two daughter, 2 sisters and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; his parents; 8 brothers; Jasper, Charlie, Clyde, Dick, Ray, George, John and Bobby Joe; 7 sisters; Rose, Mabel, Louise, Helen Faye, Mary and Pearl
