services for Mrs. Carrie Winton Norris, 94, of Cookeville formerly of Alpine will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday March 5 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home, Livingston, TN with burial in Green Hill Cemetery, Alpine, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 3 until 9 p.m.
Mrs. Norris died March 2, 2004 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born July 28, 1909 in Overton County to the late Emett and Flora Bilbrey Winton. She was a grocery merchant.
She was a member of Christ Church Presbyterian, Alpine.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Debbie Norris of Cookeville; grandson, Chandler Norris of Cookeville and granddaughter, Cheryl Turner of Nashville, TN; sister, Ruth Mitchell of Sparta; brothers, Bethel Winton and Carlos Winton, both of Cookeville and Glen Winton of Sparta; special nephews, Richard Winton of Livingston, Emit Winton of Rickman, and Jim Winton along with several other nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Banis Norris, son, Keith Norris, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.
