Mr. Pischera was born in James-town, N.Y., Oct. 17, 1923, and moved to Port Orange in 1973 from Jamestown. He retired as a recruiter for the U.S. Navy, Orlando. Mr. Pischera was a member of White Chapel Church of God, South Daytona. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was very sports minded and was voted into the Chautauqua County, N.Y., Sports Hall of Fame in 1992. He won 17 gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal in the Senior Olympics. Mr. Pischera is survived by his wife of 36 years, Helen; two sons, Seb Pischera, New Smyrna Beach, and Michael Pullan, Indianapolis, Ind.; seven daughters, Judy Slevin, Baltimore, Md., Saralee Buck, Lincoln, Calif., Kelley Timmons, West Lafayette, Ind., Angela McIntyre, Jamestown, N.Y., Vicky Antelli, Lawrenceville, Ga., and Corry Meridith and Marcy Greer, both of DeLand; brother, Joe Pischera, Fort Myers; sister, Lena Engkiltera, Yorba Linda, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
