Peter O. Frame was born December 22, 1862 at Kingston, Illinois. He came to Buffalo County, Nebraska with his parents, Perry and Amelia Buffington Frame in 1884. He and his father bought adjacent quarters of land in Section 17 of Loup Township. There was a postoffice on this land called Mahila which the family operated for two years.
In 1890 he married a neighbor girl, Grace Perkins, daughter of Clark and Elizbeth Perkins.
While they lived at Mahila, they had five children: Ray, who married Crete Bishop; Elgin; Lawrence; Mabel, who married L. H. Rice; and John.
The family moved to Pleasanton in 1900 and ran a hardware and farm implement business.
Three more children were born at Pleasanton, Fred, Rolland, and Bernice Phinney.
In 1919 Peter and Grace bought and moved to a farm near Lisco where they lived until 1926, then retired and moved to Hershey. Peter died in 1950 and Grace in 1951. They were buried in the North Platte cemetery.
