Graveside service for Marjorie DeLapp Goodson, 88 of Opelika is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 in Garden Hills Cemetery. Reverend David Chunn is officiating. Visitation will be held at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Goodson was born May 7, 1921 in Jefferson County and died March 2, 2010 at the Dadeville HealthCare Center. She was co-owner of Goodson's Jewelry Store with her late husband Robert Goodson. They served this community for over 50 years. Mrs. Goodson's specialty was assisting brides with their wedding China and silver. She is survived by her adoptive family Doug, B.J., Kristen, and Heather Horn, Jim LaFoy, Jim Haygood, and two nephews. Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home & Crematory is directing.
