PRINCETON, LA - Services will be conducted at Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel for George B. Sikes, age 72, of Princeton, LA on Monday, August 21, 2000 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Mr. Sikes' nephew, Rev. Calvin Hubbard. Interment to follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Mr. Sikes entered into rest on Friday, August 18, 2000 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He retired from E. L. Burns Company as a welder.

Mr. Sikes was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Sikes. He is survived by his wife, Melba Sikes; one daughter, Cindy Sims and husband, Terry of Clanton, AL; one son, Royce McGill and wife, Barbara of Little Rock, AR; three stepsons, Ray Shepherd and wife, Ann of Minden, LA; William Bell of Minden, LA and James Bell of Grand Prairie, TX; three sisters, Montrose McIntyre of Minden, LA, Sue Holt and husband, Huey of Bossier City, LA, Dorothy Wood and husband, James of Princeston, LA; several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
