Frances, age 99, passed away on Sunday. She was born to John J. & Barbara Teresinski. Frances graduated from Milwaukee North Division High School in June 1927. On May 5, 1940, she began her work in government at the Veterans Administration, in Westport, from which she retired in June 1970. On March 3, 1943, Frances joined the U.S. Naval Reserve as a WAVE (Women Accepted for Voluntary Service). After initial training at Hunter College, Bronx, NY, she was assigned to Washington DC, being honorably discharged on Sept. 27, 1945. On April 14, 1951, Frances married Harold A. Frazier. Together they attended annual reunions of the 6th Armored Division Association in many different cities of the U.S. In 1976, both became presidents of the association. In 1986, Frances spent seven weeks at Hines VA Blind Center, Hines, Ill., where she learned self-discipline, mobility and how to cope with macular degeneration which began in 1981. Frances was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In her earlier retirement, she had enjoyed playing golf and loved helping to make the world's finest fruitcakes at the St. Mary of the Lake Church in Westport. Frances had a fine sense of humor, enjoying ethnic jokes and those of self-deprecation. She believed that after prayer, laughter is the best medicine. Frances is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; five brothers; and four sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday March 18 at St Joseph Catholic Church, Madison, with Monsignor Thomas Baxter presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Apostolate for the Handicapped, Monroe; or to St. Joseph Catholic Church. A special thank you to the staff at St. Mary's Care Center for their wonderful care and support.
