Mr. R.R. Harrison, the senior member of the firm has had a varied experience in the business. His initial appearance was made in June, 1890, with George H. Poindexter, at 1203 East Main Street. On June 9, 1890, Mr. Harrison organized the firm of Harrison & Powers. In 1893 he bought the interest of Mr. Powers and ran the business as Harrison & Co., at 819 East Main Street. Shortly afterward he removed to No. 11, North Eleventh Street and on the 1st of January, 1899, he retired the business, having sold to the Edward Rose Company.

Mr. Harrison remained out of the business for two years, and re-entered in March of 1901, with Mr. E.A. Catlin. His next step up the ladder was in May, 1903, when he organized the Harrison Realty Company. In October, 1903, the present firm was organized. Mr. Harrison is regarded by the real estate men as one of the most practical agents in the business. A number of times he has been honored by the judges of the various courts of the city as appraiser of real estate, commissioner, etc., and his opinion is often sought as to valuation.
