Myrtle Livingston, Decatur, dies at 100
Myrtle Frances Livingston, 100, of Catlin, formerly of Decatur, died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) in Vermilion Manor Nursing Home, which she had made her home for the past three years.
Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
Myrtle was born Oct. 8, 1902, in Decatur, the daughter of Luther Levi and Rebecca Jane Akin Dodson. She lived in Decatur almost her entire life. She and her husband operated A & M Livingston Physical Therapy for many years. She was a past member of Grace United Methodist Church and later attended First General Baptist Church. She married Albert Stuart Livingston on Nov. 1, 1924, in Bloomington. He preceded her in death May 6, 1964.
Surviving are her son, Dale Albert (Carolyn) of Catlin; grandchildren, Rebecca (Andy) of Tipp City, Ohio; Renee (Melvin), Rodney (DeAnna), all of Catlin; great-grandchildren, Melissa and Beau, both of Tipp City; niece, Marilyn; nephews, Ronald, Fred and Jimmy (Mary Ann), all of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and five sisters.
