Mrs. Florence A. Whittaker, 92, of Olney, died Wednesday, July 15, at Potomac Valley Nursing Home, Rockville. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Whittaker.
Born May 31, 1900, she was a daughter of late Joseph and Lucy Allnutt.
Mrs. Whittaker was a nursing supervisor at the Episcopal Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in Washington, D.C., and later at the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C., from which she retired.
Surviving are a daughter, Ann W. Burger of Olney; two grandsons, Raymond C. Burger Jr. and John Burger, both of Mount Airy; two granddaughters, Julie Dieux of Shady Side and Lisa Stanley of West River; and nine great- grandchildren. Mrs. Whittaker was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Johns.
There will be no visitation or viewing. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 20, in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. The Pumphrey Colonial Funeral Home. Rockville. handled arrangements.
