Stella Crosby Thornton
Mrs. Stella Crosby Thornton, 88, of Kosciusko died Nov. 11, 2006 at the Attala County Nursing Center. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery.
Mrs. Thornton was a retired sales associate and a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by cousins, Mamie Shelley, Peggy Tyler, Beth Burkes and Clarence Bain all of Kosciusko, and numerous other cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Thornton; a brother, Reuben Crosby; two sisters, Juanita Crosby Flint and Nilla Crosby; parents, Otis and Missouri Bain Thornton.
Rev. Dewitt Bain and Rev. Barry Corbett officiated.
Pallbearers were Gerald Barton, Steve Bain, Tom Wasson, Otis Shelley, Allen Burkes and Jeremy Burkes.
Clarence Bain and Pat Tyler were honorary pallbearers.
