ARLEE - Grace Marie Cordis, 90, of Arlee, passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 15, 2001, at Hillside Manor in Missoula.

Grace was born to William and Lilly Pearl (Reese) Adams in Kansas on March 26, 1911.

Grace and her husband came to the Mission Valley in February 1933, settling first in St. Ignatius before moving to Arlee in 1962. A dedicated mother, Grace raised seven children, Leon, Elvera, Deloris, Dorothy, Ray, Carol and Charles Jr. Her husband Charles preceded her in death in 1989. In 1997, Grace moved to the Hillside Manor for health reason.

Grace loved gardening and working with the senior citizens, having had the honor of being Arlee Senior Citizen of the Year in 1990. She also loved to bake and go fishing. However, she is best known for the quilts she made. She made over 250 quilts that she gave away to friends and family. A very dedicated member of the Kingdom Hall, she loved to visit with people about the Bible.

Also preceding her in death were an infant son, five sisters, three brothers, a grandson and four great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sisters Florence Williams and Mabel Adams of Couer d'Alene, Idaho; her children and their spouses, Leon (Karon) Cordis, Elvera (Buck) Darrow, Deloris Hayes, Dorothy (Ben) Munguia, Ray (Sandy) Cordis, Carol (Don) Johnston and Charles Jr. (Roxey) Cordis, 29 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Foster and Durgeloh Funeral Home in St. Ignatius with funeral services being held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in St. Ignatius. Interment will be at the Pleasant View Cemetery in St. Ignatius.

Memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall in St. Ignatius.
