Ada Dorothy Zink Holland, 96, a Christian, passed away peacefully March 10, 2010 after a brief illness.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 30, 1913 to Hermann H. Zink and Ada M. Englehart Zink.

Dorothy attended Kirby-Smith Junior High and was a member of the 1931 graduating class of Andrew Jackson Senior High. She was a substitute teacher for several years and worked at the Jacksonville Tag Agency for a number of years. She was active with her graduating class for many years, helping to coordinate numerous class reunions.

She also loved working with her plants, flowers and vegetable gardens. A wonderful seamstress, she made many of her daughter's clothes and gowns.

She and her family resided in Jacksonville in the Northshore area for many years before she and her husband retired to Keystone Heights where she remained until her death.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Arlie C. Holland, her daughters, Dorothy Sue Holland and Arlene Holland Yohman, her brothers, Hermann E. and Karl G. Zink and her sister, Margaret Zink Groover.

Surviving are her nieces, Karlene Zink, Kathy Zink Garrison, Peggy Zink Namie, her nephew, Karl H. Zink, a son-in-law, Michael Yohman, a life-long friend that she has and loved since the 5th grade, Alyda Rast and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Cemetery with Pastor Terry Gore officiating.
