SUNBURY -
Maxine A. Hain, 68, of 2416 Captain Bloom Road, passed away on Friday morning, July 31, 2009, at her residence.
She was born March 15, 1941, in Gratz, a daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Schminky) Brosius. On Aug 13, 1966, she married J. David Hain who survives.
Maxine was a graduate of Selinsgrove High School and Mansfield University.
She was a retired elementary school teacher in the Shikellamy School District.
She attended the Stonington Baptist Church.
Maxine enjoyed playing the piano and organ and was a former member of the Central Pennsylvania Gospel Band.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Dynelle M. and Daryl Zehring of Harrisburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Keith D. and Kimberly Hain of Gastonia, N.C.; three grandchildren, Darrin and Dalton Nehring and Grayson Hain.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Stonington Baptist Church, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. J. Douglas Hallman officiating.
Burial will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
