James Lee Abell, 68, died at his home in Knottsville at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Della Abell; one daughter, Mrs. Herman Head, Owensboro; three sons, Harry Ray Abell, Maceo, Spalding Abell, Detroit, and Joseph Delbert Abell, Knottsville; and twelve grandchildren. No funeral arrangements have been made pending the arrival of Spalding Abell, from Detroit.
He was buried in St. William Cemetery on Sept. 15, 1944.
