H.L. CARTER DIES
Harry Lester Carter, 56 year-old native of Escatawpa and resident of Wade several years, died at Jackson County Hospital Thursday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock, following a lingering illness. He had been admitted to the hospital May 8.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. H.L. Carter, Wade; two daughters, Mrs. J.V. Wyatt, Escatawpa, and Miss Eula Bernice Carter, Wade; a brother, Preston Rayford Carter, and two sisters, Mrs. D.L. Montgomery, Mobile; and Mrs. H.W. Cochran, Wade.
The funeral was to be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock
