ROY H. VOLAND

Roy H. Voland, 74, of Rt. 1, Kiel, a retired Town of Schleswig farmer, died Sunday morning at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where he had been a patient the past two weeks.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. The Rev. Adelbert Schultz will officiate with burial in Shleswig Cemetery at Rockville.

Mr. Voland was born March 12, 1902(sic), in the Town of Schleswig, son of thelate Fred and Dora Pingel Voland. He attended a district school at Rockvilleand later a short farm course at University of Wisconsin-Madison. He married
Verna Voigt Feb. 6, 1924, in the Town of Schleswig. After marriage they resided on the Voland home farm near Rockville, retiring in 1966. Mr. Voland was Town of Schleswig clerk for 19 years and member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Myron, of Rt. 2, Kiel, a daughter, Mrs.Virgil (MarJean) Plate, of Hilbert, two sisters, Mrs. Henry Kuester of Kiel and Mrs. Alvin Thielen, of Manitowoc, four grandchildren and a great grandchild. A grandchild preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, after 4 p.m. Tuesday until11 a.m. Wednesday and at the church from noon until the time of service.
