FRED UMSONST
Fred Umsonst, 75, retired town of Schleswig farmer, died Tuesday at Enders Nursing home at Glenbeulah.
Born Feb. 23, 1879, on the homestead farm in Schleswig, the son of Peter and Catherine Glock Umsonst, he was married to Sabina Rosenthal of the town of Rhine on Sept. 2, 1905, and the couple operated the Umsonst farm. She died in July of 1934.
On May 16, 1936, he married Mrs. Mary Ramminger.

He was a member of St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church at Kiel where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. E. L. Worthman officiating. Interment will be made in the Rockville cemetery. - 1954
