Kay was born Jan. 20, 1938, to Lowell Maynard Plumlee and Andie Ethel Ownsby in Lamesa, Texas. She moved to Roswell 12 years ago from Montana. Kay enjoyed potter china painting.
She is survived by her husband M.T. Stewart, of the family home; three sons: Robert Cox of Monroe, Ga., Michael Cox of Plentywood, Mont., and David Cox of Houston, Texas; one daughter: Debra Benett of Monroe, Ga.; three step-sons: Thomas Stewart of Elizabethtown, Pa., Bryan Stewart of Bethlehem, Pa., and Troy Stewart of Allentown, Pa.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Andie Plumlee; and two sisters: Doris Frost and Joyce Plumlee.
