Ola Mae Crosby, 76, died Thursday, May 24, 1990, in Amarillo.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Elvis Pitts, retired Baptist minister officiating.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements were by Schooler-Gordon Directors.
Pall bearers were Ben Karnes and nephews, Alvie Clay, Bill Fletcher, Delbert White, Delbert Timmons, James Colson and Herbert Clay.
Mrs. Crosby was born July 18, 1913 in Jack County, Texas to Thomas Montgomery Clay and Katie Ann Dodson Clay. She had been a life-time resident of the Wellington area.
She married Howard Crosby July 10, 1969 at Quail, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the 42 Club.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Howard Crosby; a son and daughter-in-law, Wilbur Earl and Darla Smith of Apopka, Florida; 2 sisters, Lena Young, Brownfield and Alta Tyler, Claude; a brother, Herbert Clay, Claude; grandchildren: Lisa DeLoach, Raleigh, South Carolina; Donna Seidle, Savannah, Georgia; one great grandson, Wesley Earl Seidl, Savannah, Georgia; 3 stepsons, James Crosby, El Paso; Bill Crosby and Bruce Crosby, Granbury; 4 step grandchildren, Linda Monzingo, San Antonio, Cheryl Hamilton and Teresa Crosby, El Paso and Keelan Crosby, Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl E. Smith in 1963; by 4 brothers, Bill, Horace, Stewart and Dock Clay, and by 4 sisters, Hassie Arnold, Adelle Burdine, Cora Bell Clay and Shirley O'Hair.
The family requests memorials be sent to Ronald McDonald's House of Amarillo.
