A resident of the county 51 years,Mrs. W. H. Holliman, 86, died at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, in Collingsworth General Hospital.
For many years, the family lived northeast of town, but more recently, Mrs. Holliman had lived in Wellington.
She was the former Alcie Billingsley, daughter of Jonathan and Emma Copeland Billingsley. She was born at Mt. Vernon November 17, 1888.
She was married to William Horace Holliman November 25, 1906, at Reck, Oklahoma, and they came here from Slaton in 1923. He preceded her in death February 2, 1937.
The family lived in the Arlie community before moving into the Wellington area.
Mrs. Holliman was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lyle Dent of Amarillo; two sons, Zebulun C. Holliman of Childress, and Horace Holliman of Wellington; a sister, Mrs. Bob Porter of Ardmore, OK; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
