Mr. Daniel M. MacDonnell, 43, Olathe, Kansas, died June 29, 1997, at Columbia Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11AM Wednesday, July 2, at Newcomer's Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 6:30-8PM Tuesday, at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
Mr. MacDonnell was born September 10, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and had lived in the Kansas City area most of his life. He had worked for the United States Postal Service for more than 15 years. He had served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and had been stationed in Korea and Thailand. He was preceded in death by his father, Burleson MacDonnell and his mother, Lillian Geraldine Steffens. Survivors include his wife and two daughters, all of the home; brother of Minnesota; half brothers of Overland Park, Kansas and Chico, California; stepfather, Ernest Steffens, Harrisonville, Missouri; three stepbrothers of Phillipsburg, Kansas and Overland Park, Kansas; stepsister of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and aunt, Peggy Dewey, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
