Mr. William E. Riggs died at his home at Cedar Grove on Wednesday evening, January 14. He was 74 years old. He leaves two sons, Mr. Joshua L. Riggs, of Cedar Grove, and Bradley J. Riggs, of Germantown; also nine granddaughters and two grandsons. The funeral was held at Salem Methodist church on friday, January 16 and was conducted by Rev. John Fort. Interment in the Salem Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Maurice Beall, Webster Watkins, James W. Johnson, Charles Lee Watkins, James Purdum, Robert Bowman. Funeral director, A. G. Carlisle of Gaithersburg, Md.
