Dr. C.S. Larned, Lyon Lake, Dies
---Dr. Claude S. Larned, of Lyon Lake, died this morning at the American Legion Hospital in Battle Creek where he had been a patient for two years.
---He was born Nov. 18, 1885 in Washtenau[sic] County the son of Everett and Clara (Sober) Larned, and was married to Ella Allen August 11, 1921 in Marshall. She preceded him in death February 4, 1955.
---Dr. Larned was president of Southwestern Dental Association, secretary of the State Dental Association and was a member of the Fellow American College of Dentists. He gave dental clinics in several cities in Michigan. He was a member of Congregational Church of Battle Creek.
---Surviving are one son, Berle of Denver, Colorado; one daughter, Mrs. Helen M. Barrus, Sacramento, California; several grandchildren, and great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Florence Sweet.

Funeral services for Dr. Claude S. Larned, Lyon Lake, who died today at the American Legion Hospital, Battle Creek, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Court funeral home. D r. Duane Vore of the Congregational church, Battle Creek, will officiate, and burial will be in Oakridge cemetery.

Funeral services for Dr. Claude S. Larned of Lyon Lake, who died Tuesday morning in Battle Creek, were held today at 2 p. m. from the Court Funeral Home, with the Dr. Duane Vore of the Congregational church of Battle Creek officiating and Paul Humiston as organist. Interment was in Oakridge cemetery. The active bearers were, Dr. Karl L. Freeman, Dr. Cecil O. WIlcox, Dr. Robert Powers, Dr. R. A. Rocloff, Sr., Dr. V. H. Walkinshaw, Dr. J. E. Drige. The honorary bearers were Dr. Walter Heidenrich, Dr. I. G. Uhrie, Dr. Rolland C. Billeter, Dr. Harold J. Thorn, Dr. B. F. Johansen, Dr. Ellis C. Johansen, Dr. George N. Cannon, Dr. C. W. Gibbs, Dr. Gordon L. Price, Dr. R. C. Valluzzo and Dr. Noble Schindler.
