Mrs. Jeanette Sims, age 90, of Valley, AL, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at 10:00 AM (EST), at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Reverends Mike Newman and David Toxey officiating. Final services will be held in Aransas Pass, TX. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:00 until 10:00 AM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
Mrs. Sims is survived by her four children, Jerry Rollins of Rockport, TX, Trixie Opperman of Valley, Charles (Cathy) Rollins of Ingleside, TX, and Brenda (Lamar) Yarbrough of Valley; her sister, Becky (James) Hollis of Cusseta; her brother, Herbert Richardson of Dadeville, AL; fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Mrs. Sims was born on August 30, 1924 in Randolph County, AL. She had been a resident of the Valley area for the last ten years. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Valley. She had worked as a waitress in many restaurants. in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice Advantage Foundation in her memory.
