Clarksville -- William J. Daub, 88, of Clarksville, died Monday, July 22, at Community Nursing Home, Clarksville, of natural causes; survivors include his wife, Inez; two daughters, Maxine Voy of Hampton and Kay Brinkman of Greene; two sons, Dale of Phoenix, Ariz., and John of Mason City; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emma Downey of Afton; he was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Davidson and Grace Albert; two brothers, Harry and Alfred; and three grandsons; services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Greene; friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Greene, with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m.; there will be a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home; memorials may be directed to the family; Mr. Daub farmed south of Thayer until 1948, then moved to Greene and was employed by the Albrecht Turkey Farms and Hatchery; he later worked for Midwest Turkey Hatchery in Dike for six years and in 1977 moved to Clarksville and worked as a groundskeeper for C.A.R.D, retiring in 1980.
