Sandwich, IL, May 20, 1941 -- Mrs. P. C. Southwick, a resident of Sandwich for the past 36 years, died at her home Sunday following a heart attack. Mrs. Southwick was born in Glenn, MI, Jan 3, 1880, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hamlin. She was a trained nurse and soon after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Southwick came to Sandwich, 36 years ago. Mr. Southwick passed away in March 1938. She is survived by one son and one daughter, Russell Southwick of Chicago and Mrs. Charlotte Johnson of Flint, MI, two grandchildren, and three sisters. Mrs. Southwick was a member of the hospital board, the Congregational Church, and the Sandwich Woman's Club. She served as the first president of the Women's Auxiliary of the hospital board when it was organized a few years ago. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Southwick home, the Rev. O. A. McKinley, assisted by Dr. J. M. Lewis, to conduct the service. Interment will be in the Millington Cemetery, Newark.
